About the event

The ozmine2012 Australian mining conference and exhibition was held in Jakarta on 16-18 April 2012. The sixth annual ozmine event brought together key Indonesian, Australian and ASEAN industry and government players to identify and discuss major trends, opportunities and challenges in the mining sector across this fast-growing region. The exhibition component of ozmine2012 showcased the capabilities of Australian mining and METS companies to a broad and diverse international mining audience.

Specifically, ozmine2012 consisted of:

a large scale trade exhibition with nearly 100 organisations participating
a two-day conference with 46 speakers focusing on a range of topics relevant to organisations involved in the mining sector in Australia, Indonesia and across ASEAN. The conference theme was Sustainable and Responsible Mining: Australia and ASEAN in Synergy
two targeted networking receptions with more than 300 participants attending each
targeted VIP functions
an ASEAN-Australian mining workshop for regional government officials

Across all events, ozmine2012 attracted over 2,400 participants. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants commenting favourably on ozmine’s strategic market insights and the high quality of the business relationships and networks developed.
