Adrian Weeks is the Trade Commissioner, Pacific. He is based in Brisbane and is manages two staff in Fiji, while also having responsibility for Timor-Leste, New Caledonia and Vanuatu. Adrian works closely with DFAT’s Pacific Missions, and provides assistance in identifying business opportunities between Pacific customers and Australian businesses.
Adrian also works closely with the bilateral business councils for Fiji and the Pacific Islands, as well as the Australian State Governments and is actively supported by Austrade’s Trade, Investment and Education teams.
Adrian has undertaken short term assignments in India, Thailand and Papua New Guinea. Prior to working at Austrade, Adrian held business development positions with Tourism Australia for twelve years and was based in London, Los Angeles and Sydney. He has also worked for Queensland Rail and Tourism Queensland.
Adrian has an MBA from Griffith University and is undertaking French language studies at the Alliance Francaise.
