Understanding global student mobility flows

Global mobility tool

The interactive global student mobility tool allows users to understand the global flows of tertiary students between different countries. The tool can be filtered by source country (where a student is coming from) and destination country (where a student is going to) to understand key trends in global mobility, with supplementary information on student number trends over time and fields of study (where data is available).

Source of the data

The primary tool is collected from UNESCO and Project Atlas. The data only displays and refers to tertiary students, and references student numbers (not enrolments), therefore there are minor discrepancies across other sources (i.e. MIP datasets).
