Banks
Soiled or damaged foreign bank notes are generally not accepted and visitors are advised to travel with unmarked US Dollar bills that are not creased in any way. Foreign currency in excess of US$10,000 must be declared upon arrival in Myanmar.
ATMs have been introduced in recent years and are now relatively easy to find in major cities. Use of ATMs for international withdrawals is possible using Mastercard and Visa credit cards.
