Businesses are usually open from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Some government offices may have different business hours.
Stores are generally open from 10.00am to 6.00pm, some several hours later on weekdays and generally from 10.00am to 4.00pm on weekends, though this varies between establishments.

Climate
Norway has warm, but short summers and moderate cold winters tempered by the Gulf Stream from the west. Although the summers, May to August, can be quite hot at times, it is always advisable to bring warm and waterproof clothes. Norwegians tend to dress casually, but for business meetings, elegant restaurants and social functions, formal dress is expected.
