About the event:

The 2020 Smart City Summit and Expo (SCSE) is an annual B2B oriented exhibition focused on smart city developments and solutions. Considered the most comprehensive intelligent solutions event in the Asia-Pacific, business leaders, policy makers, industry experts, and stakeholders from around the world come to Taipei to join this event. It is an international platform for cross industry and cross sector collaboration.

The 2019 event attracted approximately 33,000 visitors including over 128 city leaders and municipal representatives from 45 countries and 337 exhibitors.

The 2020 SCSE conference focuses are:

In addition to the above topics, the SCSE will have a special focus on artificial intelligence (AI), and to support this they have introduced the “AI 50” program. Fifty AI startups will be selected to participate in the program which includes a series of forum tracks, networking opportunities and matchmaking activities. International AI startups are encouraged to apply.

Austrade Taipei is organising the Australia Pavilion at SCSE, in partnership with the SCSE organiser, to provide a focal point for showcasing Australian capabilities and facilitating meetings between Australian participants and potential business partners. The SCSE organiser offers various funding support packages to subsidise associated travel and accommodation costs for Australian guests, which is to be facilitated by Austrade Taipei.
