Electric Mobility Mission to India

About event:

Austrade invites you to participate in a trade mission to India to access opportunities in the electric mobility and automotive sector in November 2019. This mission will assist Australian companies to capitalise on India’s growing and future-focussed automotive sector

India provides a strong opportunity for Australian auto and mobility companies. India is world’s second largest two wheeler market, fifth largest private vehicle and seventh largest commercial vehicle market. To support growth, the Indian Government has set out an ambitious roadmap for electric vehicles, with a target to electrify 100 percent of public transport vehicles and 40 percent of private vehicles by 2030.

This mission will provide Australian participants the opportunity to attend the NuGen Mobility Summit in New Delhi, with tailored site visits in Chennai and Pune. Chennai, Pune and Delhi are the major auto hubs of India with the presence of several Indian and global OEMs, Tier-1s and 2s, research organisations and local scale-ups. India is a receptive market to Australian auto expertise.

The NuGen Mobility Summit is one of the largest automotive events in India, supported by the Indian Government. The event will see participation from approximately 2500 delegates from industry, Government and research, across the global e-mobility value chain. Delegates will have an opportunity to meet and connect with leading OEMs in India during the event.

This is your chance to meet leading auto OEMs, tier-1s and technology companies transitioning into next-generation automotive technologies. Delegates will gain insights into the policy settings and regulations in India, and explore export, technology, research and licensing partnerships with the Indian players operating in the electric vehicle and mobility space. This is also an opportunity to attract Indian investment into your research and commercialisation programs.
