Mexico: Oil and Gas Mission, 2016

Capitalise on opportunities in Mexico’s oil and gas sector, one of the world’s most dynamic energy markets.

Austrade invites you to participate in the first Oil & Gas mission to Mexico.

Mexico has undertaken a historic reform of its energy sector by allowing for investment from IOCs for the first time since 1938. This will fundamentally change the industry.

Production by state-owned, Pemex, has been falling for the past decade. This trend will be reversed as a result of the reform (identified by some industry commentators as the single largest piece of reform in the energy sector, anywhere in the world, in the past few decades).

This change provides a significant opportunity to Australian oil and gas services, equipment and technology providers, as well as education providers. In respect of education providers, Austrade will partner with ACPET (Australian Council for Private Education and Training) to develop a specific program of meetings.

Who should participate:

Australian businesses with experience and expertise in the Oil and Gas sectors:

  • Equipment and technology
  • Consulting or engineering
  • Safety and security
  • Training and education.
