Team Australia at BioJapan 2019

About the event:

BioJapan (held alongside Regenerative Medicine Japan) is Asia’s premier partnering event for the global biotechnology industry. The event is a critical platform for industry and academic experts in the drug discovery, personalised medicine, regenerative medicine and diagnostics sectors. In 2018, BioJapan had 870+ exhibitors from 34 countries and attracted 16,000+ visitors to the conference which is regarded as the biggest international conference in this field in Asia. There were also 10,000+ business discussion held through their Online Partnering Program, which is one of the attractions of participating in BioJapan event.

Austrade will coordinate Team Australia’s presence at BioJapan 2019. In conjunction with CSIRO, MTPConnect, AusBiotech and support from the Victorian, South Australian and Western Australian state governments, the Australian Government aims to increase awareness of Australia’s Life Sciences sector, high quality research capabilities, and position Australia’s biotech expertise to Japanese and international audiences. The aim is to enhance further collaboration between Australia and Japanese life sciences and medical research communities. Our involvement is sponsored by MTPConnect, Victorian, South Australian and Western Australian state governments.
