Austrade in collaboration with the Australia-Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industry is hosting its sixth annual MENA Connection Seminars.
The theme for this year’s seminar is Tech Visions Creating Opportunities for Australia.
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is predicted to grow at 3% in 2018, up from 1.8% and 5% in 2017 and 2016 respectively. To achieve diversification of their economies for sustainable development, and be visionary in their approach to future development, countries in the MENA region are converging innovation and technology to create new industries and capabilities.
Government led economic development plans, such as Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE Vision 2021, Saudi Vision 2030, Qatar National Vision 2030, and New Kuwait 2035 are generating opportunities for Australia in Food and Food Security, FinTech, EdTech, Mining, Future Mobility, and ecommerce. Australia is well positioned to support the regional visions by introducing initiatives and develop partnerships, through innovative solutions.
This seminar will provide insights on multisector trade opportunities, geopolitical viewpoints, and the collaboration between Austrade and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), state governments, and other key allies in supporting Australian firms in the region.
Following the seminar, there will be an opportunity to network with the presenters who can help you identify the trade and investment prospects for your company in the MENA region.
