Considered the most comprehensive intelligent solutions event in the Asia-Pacific, business leaders, policy makers, industry experts, and stakeholders from around the world come to Taipei to join this event. It is an international platform for cross industry and cross sector collaboration.

The 2018 event attracted approximately 30,000 visitors from over 50 countries, including over 120 mayors and municipal representatives and 210 organisations.

The 2019 SCSE conference focuses are:

  • Smart Transportation
  • Smart Energy
  • Resilient City
  • A.I. Integration
  • 5G Infrastructure
  • Digital Place-making
  • Circular Economy

In addition to the above topics, the SCSE will have a special focus on artificial intelligence (AI), and to support this they have introduced the new “AI 50” program. Fifty AI startups will be selected to participate in the program which includes a series of forum tracks, networking opportunities and matchmaking activities. International AI startups are encouraged to apply.

In conjunction with the 2019 SCSE, three professional sub-expos will be held:

  • Smart Education Expo (FuturED)
  • Intelligent Building Expo (IBE)

Austrade Taipei is organising the Australia Pavilion at SCSE, in partnership with the SCSE organiser, to provide a focal point for showcasing Australian capabilities and facilitating meetings between Australian participants and potential business partners. The SCSE organiser offers various funding support packages to subsidise associated travel and accommodation costs for Australian guests, which is to be facilitated by Austrade Taipei.
