Opportunities to partner with Chinese companies in third-market infrastructure projects

About event:

Decades of unprecedented urbanisation and associated investment in infrastructure has fuelled China’s economic development and the growth of its engineering and construction sector. Today, Chinese construction and engineering companies are delivering projects in markets worldwide.

Beyond the scale and capability developed through delivery of domestic projects, Chinese government policy has provided additional impetus for Chinese construction and engineering firms to enter overseas markets, including through China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Austrade is pleased to welcome Mr Tony Barry, Vice President at the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), who was until June 2016 Aurecon’s Managing Director, Asia, to present on his experiences in China and third markets. With more than 35 years of experience in consulting engineering, Tony has expertise in civil engineering and infrastructure projects, is Chairman and Director of a number of subsidiary companies in the Aurecon Group, and is a director of the Viridian Financial Group.

This webinar aims to provide Australian companies with an overview of the Chinese engineering and construction landscape and outline opportunities and pathways to working with Chinese firms.
