7.2% for the last 2 decades. Electricity demand has increased by over 18%
every year for the last 7 years, and the country still depends on at least
20% of power from imports from neighbouring countries.
The Cambodian Government has recently approved a range of solar projects,
increasing from a mere 1% to almost 15% of installed capacity. The first
wind project has been proposed.
