Like many other countries, Malaysia is facing talent and skills shortages in its oil and gas sector. The Global Oil & Gas Workforce Development Forum will provide Australian service and training providers with insights into the growing area of demand in Malaysia, and introduce you to around 100 oil and gas industry professionals.
The forum in Kuala Lumpur is being organised by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in collaboration with MOGSC (Malaysian Oil and Gas Services Council) and UTP (Universiti Teknologi Petronas) to enhance cooperation between the Malaysian oil and gas sector and Australian training organisations and institutions.
The forum will address topics like workforce supply and demand, human capital development programs and allow Australian training providers to connect with key players from the Malaysian oil and gas sector, and share ideas and best practice for growing and retaining talent.
If you are looking to explore opportunities and gain insights, ideas, tools and strategies to pursue oil and gas business in Malaysia, we welcome your attendance at this industry event.
An optional side-trip to Brunei is also on offer to participants to meet with industry players that have an interest in the development of oil and gas workforce skills.
The events in Malaysia and Brunei make an ideal add-on for Australian participants at OSEA in Singapore from 2 December 2014. Tailored business matching programs on Day 2 can be provided to any Australian oil and gas business, not just training providers.
