This mission will showcase and promote Australia’s globally competitive agriculture and food capabilities, particularly sustainable, organic and biodynamic produce, and explore business opportunities in overseas markets. Leveraging the Australian Government brand, the events would take the format of seminar, product showcase and sample tasting in Singapore and Hong Kong, and virtual showcases in Taiwan and Korea.
The mission will target key importers, distributors, retailers, food services companies, online stores, hotels, restaurants, clubs, casinos and food media in Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Korea due to the attractiveness of these markets for Australian organic foods. Regional buyers from South China, the Philippines and Thailand will be invited to the event in Hong Kong. For Korea, the product showcase will take place at the Australian pavilion at Seoul Food & Hotel 2015, which is the biggest food exhibition in Korea.
