China education events calendar 2018-19

14 Sep 2018

Austrade has compiled a China Education Events Calendar as a guide for Australian education providers to plan their marketing and recruitment activities in China. The calendar covers key Australia-related education events from August 2018 to the second half of 2019.

The calendar includes:

  • Three Austrade-organised events:
    1. Australia Future Unlimited: China International Import Expo
    2. Australia-China Education Business Planning Forum – Government policy updates and visa training will be delivered by Austrade, the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Home Affairs.
    3. China International Education Exhibition Tour – A major annual event hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Education which promotes international education. An Australian education pre-event media briefing will take place before the event.
  • Selected agent events identified by Austrade’s China team, with a focus on Australian education promotion, including exclusive Australian education exhibitions or promotion of particular education sector(s).

The calendar informs Australian education providers about key education events in the China market, and also serves as a useful guide for providers to conduct institution profiling exercises and marketing campaigns in China.

Austrade will join some key agent events, and will provide support subject to the scale, strategic importance and potential impact of the events. The range of Austrade’s involvement varies, from staff delivering official presentations and distributing promotional collateral at events to endorsing the use of Australia Future Unlimited branding by selected education agents.
