Introducing the Study Australia Partnership

Over the past 18 months, Austrade and the state and territory destination agencies have been working closely to create a new way of working and align our efforts to address common marketing challenges and reach key audiences more effectively.

In 2020 we agreed to pilot our new approach, called the Study Australia Partnership. We identified five areas for action including: digital ecosystem alignment, applying the new nation brand to our work, digital campaign activities, transitioning to digital events, consumer and market insights. With the unprecedented impacts of COVID-19, the partnership has enabled us to work as a Community of Practice, sharing knowledge, initiating joint projects and aligning key messages.

Last week, the Study Australia Foundation Partners convened for a deep dive session to discuss the Road to Renewal for the international education sector. This week our focus is on how we will apply the nation brand to our shared efforts. More information about the partnership will be shared in the coming weeks and months.

This week’s inspiring #InThisTogether student story features Hinney Lo from Hong Kong, who began his life in Australia as an international student in Brisbane before moving to Adelaide to complete his university studies. In 2011, Hinney and a group of fellow students turned their final year university project into a business and established PixelForce – now a leading full-suite web and mobile app development agency. The team comprises almost 40 staff, many of whom were international students in Australia.
