Australia-Brazil virtual research collaboration week — November 2021
03 Nov 2021
The Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) recognises Brazil as a significant producer of research in Latin America. November 2021 will see the launch of the Australia-Brazil Virtual Research Collaboration. Sessions will be focused on COVID-19 related research, with three major research streams prioritised. These are:
- health system responses and public policies
- medical treatment and therapies
- one health
Recognising the opportunities to grow collaboration, this initiative was established in 2020, when DESE signed an MoU with the Brazilian National Council of State Funding Agencies (CONFAP), to enhance bilateral research relationships and support the development of joint projects in areas of emerging importance.
