Survey highlights Malaysian teacher’s English proficiency needs

In August 2020, Austrade Malaysia conducted a survey to understand continuing the professional development needs for Malaysia’s teachers. This involved participation from 567 in-service K-12 teachers in Malaysia and explored areas of interest for upskilling. Over 60 per cent of respondents indicated the need to advance their English proficiency, reflecting Malaysia’s push to raise the nation’s command of the language.
