Market Action Plans

Market Action Plans (MAPs) will enable greater collaboration to strengthen the position of Australian education, training and research in overseas markets.

MAPs enable a cooperative focus and aligned effort to maximise impact and benefit for the sector and Australia’s brand. They support the realisation of potential growth through a coordinated set of actions.

MAPs are funded through the Enabling Growth and Innovation program, managed by Department of Education and Training and overseen by the Council for International Education.

MAPs reflect core objectives of the National Strategy for International Education and Austrade’s market development roadmap AIE2025. Central to these strategies is the need for government at all levels, and the sector to work collaboratively.

Throughout 2018, the Vietnam and Indonesia MAPs were developed in consultation with Australia’s study destination agencies, peak education representative bodies, and international education sector.

The actions in the MAPs will be led by Austrade in partnership with study destination agencies, peak bodies and the sector.

MAPs will be reviewed and evaluated annually. Insights will be updated and, where applicable, new collaborative actions added.
