The Australian Government is supporting job seekers and employers to connect in a rapidly changing jobs market.
As a business you are able to post your jobs on this hub to attract suitable employees.
Delivers professional, end-to-end recruitment services at no cost to businesses. Services, include:
- screened and job ready candidates
- pre-employment training and work-related equipment, if needed, for the jobs in the business
- support while new employees settle in
- access to wage subsidies when they recruit and retain an eligible job seeker.
Job Outlook is the Australian Government’s online guide to careers and trends in the labour market. Job Outlook has useful information on more than 1000 occupations, including job tasks, required skills, future prospects, and pay. This is a free resource that can support people at any age or stage of their working life. Job Outlook can help people make decisions about job search, study or further training, and has a number of features that can help people to move into or between jobs.
Youth Jobs PaTH
Youth Jobs PaTH is designed to support young people to gain the employability skills and work experience they need to get and keep a job. PaTH supports employers to host internship placements and can provide financial incentives through the Youth Bonus Wage Subsidy for hiring a young person. Youth Jobs PaTH has three elements: Prepare - Trial - Hire.
Job Jumpstart offers a range of job search and employment planning information and resources for job seekers and workers, and their parents, teachers and advisers.
Mature Age Hub
The Restart wage subsidy is a financial incentive (up to $10,000 inc GST) to encourage businesses to hire and retain mature age employees who are 50 years and over.
They contribute skills and experience, reliability, strong work ethic and communication skills.
Australian Apprenticeship Support Network
The Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (Apprenticeship Network) provides services to support apprentices and employers throughout the apprenticeship lifecycle. These services will assist employers recruit, train and retain apprentices and aim to improve apprenticeship completion rates.
Apprenticeship Network providers help employers navigate through apprenticeship arrangements and ensure apprentices get the support they need to compete their training through delivery of:
- Universal services for all employers and apprentice, providing essential administrative support, payment processing and regular contact; and
- Targeted services for employers and individuals assessed as needing additional support to complete the apprenticeship.
The new Apprenticeship Network replaced Australian Apprenticeships Centres on 1 July 2015.
