Todd is the Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner for South Asia, based in Mumbai, India. Todd leads the agribusiness, food and wine sectors for the South Asia region, which incorporates India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and the Maldives.
Todd previously served as Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner in the Middle East. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Todd led the markets of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Bahrain and Egypt, and the Agribusiness Food and Infrastructure sectors for the Middle East African region.
Prior to this appointment, Todd enjoyed a seven-year career with the South Australian Government’s Trade and Investment Department, leading South Australia’s overseas office network from 2018-2021.
Todd has private sector experience, most notably from 2009-2014 he founded and owned his own business in North America, importing Australian consumer products across food, consumer and even pet products. At the height of his business, Todd had Australian products selling in over 7,000 stores fronts across the United States that included Wal-Mart, Wholefoods, Costco and Amazon.
Todd has worked on every continent and has international experience across agribusiness, food, wine and beverage, consumer products, infrastructure, defence, and health sectors. He also has experience in sales, marketing, distribution, supply chain and wholesale/retail strategies.
