Minerals Investment in Timor Leste

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is proud to partner with Timor Leste’s national mining industry regulator, Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais Timor-Leste (ANM), to deliver the Timor Leste Minerals Webinar.

Timor Leste is an emerging and exciting under-explored minerals jurisdiction.

In November 2023, the Timor Leste Government officially announced three Australian minerals companies as the bid winners of the Timor-Leste Minerals Tender 2023 – Estrella Resources Lda, Iron Fortune Pty Ltd and Beacon Minerals Limited.

These Australian companies have registered significant exploration results within months of securing tenement rights, and remaining concession areas will be strongly contested.

Participants involved in the webinar will learn about:

• minerals prospectivity 
• the early success of Australian companies that secured minerals tenements in late-2023 
• the process for applying for remaining minerals tenements.

In addition, Austrade will offer participants a personalised introduction to ANM for further discussions and a face-to-face meet and greet at The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC), Sydney from 29-31 October 2024.
