Julie Quinn - Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner, Seoul

Julie commenced her role as Austrade’s Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner for Korea and Mongolia in January 2021. Her role is focused on attracting Korean investors to Australia and growing Australia’s goods and services trade to Korea and Mongolia. 

Since her commencement with Austrade in 2020, Julie previously worked as a Head of Austrade Centre of Excellence in Health in Melbourne, Australia. 

Julie has almost 30 years of health and biotech experience before joining Austrade. These include roles at the University of Melbourne, Neurology Ireland Limited, Florey Neuroscience Institutes, Victorian Cancer Biobank, Australian Phenomics Network and Bionic Vision Technologies Pty Ltd. 

Prior to that, Julie has over 9 years of Marketing, Sales and Trade professions at ICI Australia and Abbot Diagnostics Division.  

Julie has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Applied Biology) from RMIT, Graduate Diploma in Business (Marketing) from Monash University and Master of Engineering from RMIT.

Ron Green - Trade and Investment Commissioner, Seoul


Ron joined Austrade in December 2016 as a Trade Commissioner and Consul based in Hokkaido, Japan. In January 2019, he moved to Seoul as Trade Commissioner.

Prior to Austrade, Ron had worked in the natural resources sector having commenced his professional career with ExxonMobil in Japan before taking on broader responsibilities in the Asia-Pacific market based in Australia. He has since held senior roles in Japan and Australia in sales and marketing, product development, investments and joint venture management for both Australian and Japanese companies. Most recently he was General Manager for J-Power Australia, which has major shareholding in four coal mines in Australia.

Ron holds an Honours degree in Science from the University of Tasmania, an MBA from Deakin University and a Diploma of Mining Engineering from UNSW. Ron also gained his N1 Japanese language proficiency level when he studied at Hokkaido University.

Helen Oh - Trade and Investment Commissioner, Seoul

Helen Oh joined Austrade in October 2020. She commenced her posting in the Australian Embassy in Seoul as Trade and Investment Commissioner and Counsellor (Commercial) in January 2021. 

Prior to joining Austrade, Helen led the NSW State Government's market development and international engagement program for Korea and Japan. Helen was the onshore manager responsible for developing and maintaining $1 billion investment pipeline and key accounts portfolio in Australia. Her clients included Korean and Japanese corporates such as Samsung, Hyundai, POSCO, LG, Hitachi, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Softbank Group. 

Helen is an active member of the Future Leaders Program facilitated by the Australia-Korea Business Council and the Australia-Japan Business Co-operation Committee. She represented Australia in amateur and professional golf from 2000 to 2010.
