Silicon Valley fintech company Nomis Solutions chooses Australia for Asia Pacific HQ

Nomis Solutions has opened an Asia Pacific headquarters in Melbourne to service the Asia Pacific region, creating up to 50 jobs over five years.
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider licenses its price optimisation software to retail banks and other financial service organisations.
A Victorian Government media release states that the company has more than 10,000 customers worldwide, which it services from offices in Silicon Valley and Toronto, Canada.
Nomis’ new Melbourne office is the company’s first located outside North America.
‘Nomis Solutions is excited at the opportunity to expand its business within the region’s fast moving financial services sector,’ says Damian Young, Managing Director, Nomis Solutions Asia Pacific. ‘We’re delighted to establish our head office in Victoria, and using it as a base to expand our team locally to support our clients in Australia, New Zealand, and the wider APAC region.’
Victorian Minister for Trade and Investment Philip Dalidakis adds that Victoria’s thriving finance sector and talented graduates are attracting global investment and spurring on the state’s rising tech sector.
‘We’re attracting innovative companies in modern industries that will support the jobs up of our future economy,’ he says.
Victoria is also home to a growing number of fintech companies including Stripe, Square, Airwallex, Mimecast, Assembly Payments and Moula.
Financial services are the largest sector of the Victorian economy, employing more than 115,000 people and contributing A$40 billion per year, according to the office of the Victorian Minister for Trade and Investment.
