Singapore’s NCS sets up new Cloud Centre of Excellence in Australia

07 Sep 2021

Singaporean tech firm NCS is setting up a Cloud Centre of Excellence in Melbourne, Victoria. It plans to grow its local team to 1,500 and create 500 new digital jobs.

Driving digital transformation in Australia

The NEXT Cloud Centre of Excellence (CoE) will support government and business to accelerate their cloud projects. Another focus is robotics. The company is trialling robotics overseas to check patient temperatures and deliver food. Robotics could help Australia meet the rising demand for safer in-hospital support.

The CoE builds on a partnership with Optus Enterprise in December 2020. The two companies will bring integrated ICT and digital services to Australian enterprises and government.

Andre Conti, Head of NEXT Solutions, Australia, says Australian organisations are adopting a digital-first approach to transformation.

‘Through the NCS NEXT Cloud CoE launch in Australia, Optus Enterprise and NCS can help Australian enterprises and government agencies leverage cloud-based innovations to unlock competitive advantages and enhance customer or citizen experiences,’ he says.
