Polish Government grant to support international academic mobility
University of Technology Sydney (UTS), together with three partner institutions in Poland, have won a Polish Government grant to support international academic mobility. During the next 12 months, the funding of more than A$750,000 will cover:
- research visits for 32 Polish PhD students and eight academics to UTS
- research visits for 32 UTS PhD students and eight academics to Polish universities (Politechnika Poznanska, Politechnika Warszwska, and SGH)
The Polish Government's sponsored research mobility enables immediate research collaboration between UTS and Polish partners but also sets the platform for the future. The 40 Polish researchers will be travelling to Australia at the end of November or beginning of December 2018, and will participate in the 29th Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS2018) and the associated Doctoral Consortium.
NAWA is the Polish government organisation managing funding support for international mobility. The funding is designated for specific programs and is available to Australian institutions provided they partner with Polish universities.
