Architecture helps to build relationships in Taiwan
Bringing together architecture, building and construction enthusiasts, the Boomerang Luncheon Series in Taipei is a platform for raising Australia’s profile in Taiwan through the visits of renowned Australians across a range of professional fields.
The luncheon accompanied John Bilmon from PTW Architects who presented the award-winning design of the Water Cube at the National Aquatic Centre at the Beijing Olympics 2008, and other signature projects in Asia.
The luncheon was over-subscribed with more than 40 architecture services and building/ construction players inspired by the PTW experience in Asia.
While in Taipei in late September, John pursued new projects for PTW Sydney. Austrade Taipei is working with PTW on their journey to present another landmark building in the region.
This is an example of the continuous collaboration between Australia and Taiwan, following the signature designs of Taipei Arena and Lalu Resort in Taichung, as well as other Australian architecture firms.
