Understanding Free Trade Agreements
The Australian Government is running an Australia-wide outreach programme to provide practical information on how to maximise benefits from Australia’s free trade agreements (FTAs). Register for an FTA seminar near you.
You can read more about each agreement at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) website www.fta.gov.au where you will find detailed guides including the full text of the agreements, helpful FTA information and factsheets and an FTA Portal for searching tariff outcomes under the FTAs.

Free Trade Agreement Market Entry Grant
The Free Trade Agreement Market Entry (FTA-ME) Grant, which forms part of the Government’s FTA advocacy and outreach, will assist eligible Australian member-based business organisations, universities and TAFE colleges deliver market entry strategies aimed at helping Australian small and medium-sized enterprises and stakeholders access FTA target markets. Eligible markets under the FTA-ME Grant include China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Brunei, Canada, Mexico, Chile and Peru. The program is competitive and merit based.
Applications for the first FTA-ME Grant round have closed. Applications for the second round will open around October 2019. Further information can be found here.
