The Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) benefits, including tariff reductions, started 29 December 2022. Further reductions started 1 January 2023.
The agreement will secure Australia's foothold in the world's fastest growing large economy. It will give Australian businesses a competitive advantage to access and expand into India.
