Landing Pads maps more global opportunities for Australian tech scaleups in 2026–27

Austrade has released its Landing Pads program calendar for FY2026–27.

Austrade’s Landing Pads program recently completed an immersion program in Indonesia for scaleups, the latest in a series of Landing Pad activities over the financial year.

The 4-day Climate and Sustainable Tech Immersion Program saw 7 scaleups travel to Jakarta to deepen their understanding of Indonesia’s net zero transition and engage with industry, government and investors. The program gave participants access to potential partners, customers and pilot opportunities across clean energy, sustainable supply chains and carbon solutions.

Over the past 12 months, the Landing Pads program has supported 327 unique Australian scaleups through 13 Landing Pad programs to explore opportunities and partnerships in Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, the UK and the US.

It has provided participants with deep market insights and connected them with in-market experts, networks and business opportunities in priority sectors such as fintech, AI, medtech and green economy. Many companies have secured contracts or are in negotiations to progress opportunities.

‘Australian tech scaleups are delivering innovative solutions to some of today’s most critical business, health and climate challenges,’ said Scott Samson, acting Global Landing Pad Manager, Austrade. ‘The 2026–27 Landing Pads program will build on Austrade’s strong track record of supporting scaleups to successfully expand into global markets.’
