Annika Barton is Trade and Investment Commissioner for the United Kingdom and Ireland at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), based in London. She leads Austrade's trade activities across the UK and Ireland, helping Australian businesses expand internationally and strengthening commercial ties between Australia and one of its most important economic and strategic partners.
Annika is an experienced international business development and trade leader with more than a decade of experience across Europe, North America and Australia. She works closely with Australian exporters, investors, government agencies and industry stakeholders to identify market opportunities, build strategic partnerships and deliver commercial outcomes. She also leads Austrade's agribusiness team for the United Kingdom, Europe and Israel, supporting Australian companies across food, beverage and agricultural sectors to access new markets and drive export growth.
Prior to her current role, Annika served as Trade and Investment Commissioner for the Netherlands, Nordics and Baltics, based in Amsterdam, where she established and expanded Austrade's commercial presence across Northern Europe. She previously served as Trade and Investment Commissioner in San Francisco and led Austrade's global Landing Pad program, supporting high-growth Australian technology companies to scale into international markets.
