Gabrielle Hall

Gabrielle is Australia’s Consul General and Trade and Investment Commissioner based in São Paulo, Brazil.

In this role, Gabrielle leads the Australian Government’s trade and investment objectives in Brazil, with a strong focus on critical minerals, mining, clean energy and education.

Gabrielle also serves as Trade and Investment Commissioner to Colombia and Mexico.

Gabrielle is an Ex-Officio Board Director on the Australia Brazil Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), and a Senior Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Queensland’s School of Languages and Cultures.

Before landing in Brazil, Gabrielle was Australia’s Consul General and Trade and Investment Commissioner in Houston, Texas where she led the Australian Government’s presence in Central South USA – Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Gabrielle has also held various positions with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in the Latin American region: A/g Trade Commissioner in Santiago, Chile (2020), and across business development roles in Mexico (2019) and Colombia (2016).

Gabrielle has also held various roles onshore in Austrade’s Trade and Investment Divisions, across a broad range of sectors (2016-2019).

Prior to joining the Australian Government, Gabrielle was a locally engaged officer for the foreign governments of Chile and Uruguay, often collaborating with other Latin American diplomatic presences to deliver joint public diplomacy initiatives, trade and tourism promotion.

Gabrielle holds a Graduate Certificate in International Relations and Political Economy from the Australian National University (2013), a Bachelor of Arts, Spanish Major, from the University of Queensland (2007-2012), and completed a course on Executive Presence and Influence from Wharton Business School’s Executive Education (2025).
