Tim joined Austrade in early 2026.
Prior to this, he spent much of the last 20 years working in the Victorian Public Service. In 2023-25, Tim served as Secretary of the Victorian Government Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry & Regions, leading a large organisation accountable to seven Ministers responsible for portfolios including trade and investment, industry and innovation, sport, tourism and major events, regional development and skills and training.
From 2019-2023, Tim held the position of Deputy Secretary Economic Policy in the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet. In the mid-2000’s, he established and ran the Victorian Government Business Office in New York driving trade and investment outcomes. Tim also has consulting and board director experience.
He grew up in rural Australia and has degrees in Agriculture Science.
Tim will incorporate broader responsibilities for Austrade’s operations in the Middle East and Africa in late 2026.
