Sports Industry Summit and Sports Business Mission 2026

India’s aspirations are to position sport as an economic sector, host major international sporting events and develop sustainable sports infrastructure and professional league systems. These aspirations combined with increasing policy focus and technology integration has created demand for international expertise, scalable models, and trusted partners. 

Australia is globally recognised for its end-to-end sports capabilities spanning high performance sports, governance and administration, education and athlete development, infrastructure, fan engagement technology, data analytics and innovation, and inclusive sports models.   These capabilities, plus Australia’s experience in adapting across the world, positions it as a long-term partner for India’s sports ambitions. 

To strengthen collaboration between the two countries, Austrade will deliver a Sports Industry Summit and Sports Business Mission in Q4 2026, bringing together Australian and Indian leaders from industry, education, sportstech, infrastructure and government. The program will facilitate strategic dialogue, knowledge exchange, and business-to-business connections across the sports ecosystem.

The summit aims to position Australia as a partner of choice for India's sports sector while fostering commercially focused partnerships that unlock new opportunities for innovation, capability development, and sustainable growth.
