The Australian Government is committing $8.5 million to reinvigorate tourism in the Red Centre and attract visitors back to the region.
Status: Open
The $1 million Alice Springs Revival and Resilience Grant Program aims to support small tourism businesses in the Mparntwe/Alice Springs and Tjoritja/MacDonnell tourism region. The region’s visitor economy has faced challenges in recent years.
Austrade will administer the Alice Springs Revival and Resilience Grant Program over the 2025–26 financial year.
Applications will be demand driven and eligibility based.
The objective of the Alice Springs Revival and Resilience Grant program is to provide support to small tourism operators that are facing financial hardship in the Alice Springs and MacDonnell tourism region, enabling them to remain open and operational, while the region continues to recover.
The intended outcome of the Alice Springs Revival and Resilience Grant program is for eligible tourism operators in the Alice Springs and MacDonnell tourism region to receive funding for operational expenses to increase their ability to remain open and operational throughout the program and into financial year 2026-27.
This helps ensure that tourism operators in the Alice Springs and MacDonnell region remain open and operational, so these eligible businesses continue to service visitors to the region.
A total of $1 million over the 2025-26 financial year is available for the Alice Springs Revival and Resilience Grant.
Applications will be assessed in the order that they are received, up to and including the application closing time.
All eligible applicants will receive a first payment of $6,500.
After applications have closed, any remaining funds will be equally distributed across all eligible applicants as a second and final payment.
The total value of the grant will be determined by the total number of eligible applicants.
