Reimagining Australia’s Approved Destination Status (ADS) Scheme

Austrade recognises the importance of engaging with industry, government and broader community stakeholders, in shaping the future of the Approved Destination Status (ADS) scheme.

The purpose of this consultation process is to:

  • understand industry’s objectives for the ADS scheme
  • identify opportunities for the ADS scheme, and
  • improve the operation of the ADS scheme.

The ADS framework discussion paper, Reimagining Australia’s ADS Scheme, is now live to inform written feedback.

The discussion paper provides an overview of the context in which the scheme operates and some of the key issues identified with regards to the scheme.
