This report reviews the activities of the Workforce and Skills Technical Working Group to address gaps and identify future needs facing the visitor economy workforce. The activities and outcomes support THRIVE 2030, Australia’s national strategy for the Visitor Economy.

  • The Tourism Jobs Summit, hosted by the Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator the Hon Don Farrell, on 30 August 2022
  • The Visitor Economy Workforce and Skills Interim Action Plan, published in June 2023
  • Research and reports commissioned to deepen the understanding of the challenges facing the workforce
  • Supporting ongoing Government work including the Employment White Paper, Migration Strategy, Skills, and Higher Education Reform
