What this notice covers

This webinar privacy notice sets out how Austrade collects, handles and discloses your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles when you book or attend an Austrade webinar.

Information we collect

  • When you present at or book an Austrade webinar, we will require your given name, family name and email address.
  • We may record the webinar and will tell you before we start recording.
  • If you choose to interact during the webinar, the recording may capture your image and audio.

If you interact in webinar Q&As, your comment may be visible to others during the event and in the published webinar recording.

If you do not provide your name and email, you will be unable to register and attend the webinar. You can terminate the registration at any time.

If you provide the personal information of other individuals, for example if you are registering others to attend the webinar, you must get consent to our collection of their personal information and draw their attention to this privacy notice.

How we use and disclose your personal information

We use your name and email to:

  • provide you with webinar details
  • provide you with webinar access
  • facilitate the webinar.

Your name will be visible to others during the webinar.

We may email you after the webinar to:

  • get feedback on how well it met your needs
  • provide you with related information.

Publication of webinar recordings

We may publish Austrade webinar recordings on Austrade websites and other social channels such as YouTube or Vimeo. This will include a transcript of the webinar recording.

We may disclose your personal information to overseas recipients, as Austrade has international offices and service offerings.
