Australia is a top transnational education (TNE) collaborator with Vietnam and Vietnam is increasingly becoming a strategic education partner for Australia.
We are not alone – competitor countries equally have their eye to Vietnam, with the US, UK and France pushing for an increase in partnerships.
The Vietnamese Government is encouraging of foreign investment and collaboration in education, however there are a complex set of laws, decrees and circulars that govern TNE, with new advice issued regularly over the past few years.
Offshore programs have shown particular resilience during the pandemic, with enrolments in TNE programs in Vietnam on the increase as young Vietnamese have sought a foreign qualification close to home. Most Vietnamese universities, given new autonomy, are free to approve their own joint programs, and online delivery options are now a possibility.
This webinar will provide the Australian higher education sector with perspectives on the environment, regulations and opportunities for offshore delivery in Vietnam, including face to face, online and hybrid delivery options.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, and to share issues. Public and private higher education providers are all welcome. DESE and Austrade will host a separate webinar focussed on VET in the coming months
