Australia is positioned to be a global leader in the development of blockchain standards, research, and innovation, including distributed ledger technology.  Blockchain is a globally disruptive technology that allows for a secure and complete record of transactions of a variety of data and assets across multiple industry channels.  With a robust regulatory framework, world-class R&D, and a healthy banking sector, it’s no wonder that the very first future use cases of blockchain technology are emerging in Australia.

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission, in partnership with the Australian Digital Commerce Association, CSIRO’s Data61, and the State Government of New South Wales is sponsoring the Australian Blockchain Mission to Consensus 2018 from 13-16 May at the New York Hilton Midtown. CoinDesk’s Consensus is the vanguard event of the blockchain calendar attracting over 4000 attendees from the leading industry startups, investors, financial institutions, enterprise tech leaders, and academic and policy groups.

The Australian Mission will showcase competitive and innovative solutions across the spectrum of industry applications ranging from digital currencies and payments to agricultural supply chains, smart contracts and identity management. The Australia Lounge will allow delegates to meet with global influencers, investors, and technology partners.  Take a break from the hustle and bustle of Consensus at the Australia Lounge, then over coffee, find out why there’s no better place to do business than Australia.
