AIBX Australia India Business Exchange

Australia India Innovation Network

The Australia India Innovation Network will support Australian technology companies to access India’s rapidly growing innovation ecosystem and forge stronger links with customers, partners, and investors in India.

In doing this, we will build Australia’s reputation as a source of world-class innovations and a “must consider” technology partner for India.

The initiative will have three key components:

  • Raising awareness of the Indian market opportunity in the Australian ecosystem across areas such as:
    • digital health
    • fintech
    • smart infrastructure
    • agtech
    • edtech
    • cybersecurity
    • artificial intelligence
    • advanced manufacturing
    • energy efficiency
    • environmental tech
    • space tech.

As part of this, the initiative will leverage government programs such as Accelerating Commercialisation delivered by Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources and sector-specific programs such as the Australia India Future Skills Initiative.
  • Advising Australian technology firms interested in expanding to India on:
    • Tailoring their product to suit the market
    • Building a sales and marketing apparatus in India
    • Working with Indian customers, employees, partners and government to achieve commercial success
    • Pitching to Indian investors.

This will include running sector-specific bootcamps connecting businesses with innovation centres, incubators and accelerators in India to provide soft landings for companies entering the market.
  • Converting commercial opportunities for Australian technology firms in India through tailored in-market connections and advice.

The Innovation Network will form part of a suite of activities under the Australia India Business Exchange (AIBX) program.
