Australia India Innovation Network

The Australia India Innovation Network is a priority project for the Australian Government. It aims to increase the number of Australian technology companies accessing the rapidly growing digital sector in India.

The program will support Australian companies as they move from being curious about India, to being keen to access India, to being ready to establish and operate in the market.

The Network will help build Australia’s reputation as a source of world-class innovations. It will also promote Australia as a 'must consider' technology partner for India.

About the initiative

The Australia India Innovation Network will: 

• build a pipeline of India-curious companies by educating the Australian tech ecosystem about the Indian market opportunity. This is delivered through market awareness campaigns, both virtual and in-person
• advise India-keen companies on market entry strategies and facilitate introductions for potential partnerships, through business missions and delegations to India
• provide dedicated one-on-one services to India-ready companies to raise their market profile and support their establishment and operations in India.

The Australia India Innovation Network will form part of a suite of activities under the Australia India Business Exchange (AIBX) program.

India Tech Export Catalyst program

The Australia India Innovation Network is running the India Tech Export Catalyst (ITEC) program.

ITEC is a free, facilitated online program to help businesses explore a practical India market entry plan. The program runs part-time over 6 weeks.

Helping Australian tech companies to export to India

The ITEC program is open to Australian tech scaleups and startups that want to export their products and services to India.

The program helps businesses:

• develop a practical India project alongside a cohort of selected national peers
• build knowledge of the Indian market and skills to develop market entry plans
• receive feedback from market and sector experts to help validate and refine business plans.

Participants can connect with market experts and other scaleups throughout the program.
