India’s mining sector is witnessing high post-reforms growth. The sector is seeking state-of-the-art mining equipment, technology and services (METS) to enhance productivity, quality, safety and skills, and progress on the pathway to net zero. This presents significant opportunities for Australian METS exporters to diversify into the Indian mining sector and contribute to India’s decarbonisation.
Austrade is coordinating an Australia Pavilion and business-matching program at the International Mining, Equipment & Minerals Exhibition (IME) 2025. IME 2025 is India’s largest mining exhibition, held this year in Kolkata from 30 October to 2 November 2025.
The Australia Pavilion and bespoke Australian events involves the state governments of New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia, as well as peak industry body, Austmine.
The event enables Australian companies to take advantage of the opportunities arising from India’s significant mining reforms and sustainability ambitions, against the backdrop of the strong Australia-India bilateral engagement.
Participation packages for Australian METS companies include visitor packages, shared exhibitor packages with a counter table, or an exclusive customised stand. Bespoke events include a resource and investment seminar, a “Meet the Miners” elevator pitch session and the signature Australian Mining Business Networking Reception.
