Export assistance and Landing Pads

Did you know that some elements of your Landing Pad experience may qualify for a grant?

The Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) scheme is a key Australian Government financial assistance program that encourages small- and medium-sized Australian businesses to develop export markets by reimbursing up to 50 per cent of eligible export promotion.

Expenses claimable* under the scheme include:

  • hiring of overseas representatives to support with business development
  • cost of air travel
  • up to $350 per day to support your marketing expenses (up to 21 days)
  • promotional expenses such as conferences, exhibitions
  • international IP registration.

EMDG has been helping businesses enter international markets for more than 40 years. Matchboard, an online platform for business matching, was able to claim for an overseas representative when it entered the UK market.

‘Frankly, it’s been a game changer,’ said founder Sharon Melamed. ‘Matchboard is self-funded and without the EMDG, I’m not sure we could have afforded to take the leap internationally so fast.’
