Singapore Landing Pad alumni share their traction over a Virtual Cuppa

Webinar Collage Virtual Cuppa

On 2 April 2020, Austrade and four of Singapore's Landing Pad alumni hosted a webinar to pitch to a group of ASEAN-based corporates and investors.

The alumni, Aiculus, Me3D, Metigy and PI.Exchange, have previously spent ninety days in the Singapore program, and have AI, cybersecurity and enterprise solutions that are currently rolled out across Singapore and the broader Asian region.

The webinar included a moderated discussion covering topics such as:

  • Use of AI to screen API data breaches, which churn an average of $2m USD financial loss for organisations (presented by Aiculus)
  • Growing demand for a brand-agnostic software to manage 3D printing fleets and content (presented by Me3D)
  • The power of partnerships for quick and scalable implementations across ASEAN (presented by Metigy)
  • Challenges for individuals and enterprises to adopt and build data science capabilities (PI.Exchange)

The impacts of COVID-19 to businesses

When asked about the impact of COVID-19 for their respective businesses, some acknowledged that the sales cycle may take longer but all four companies remain positive about their growth trajectory in Australia as well as Asia.

"Digital marketing has never been more relevant, in a context people can't get out to do traditional selling," says David Fairfull, CEO and Co-Founder of Metigy.

Leanne Connelly, CEO and Co-Founder of Me3D, meanwhile is pivoting for the good of the community. She shared that Me3D's BuildBee system is currently powering 3D printers to produce emergency personal protective equipment (PPE) for their home base, New South Wales.
