Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment The Hon Steven Ciobo MP - Facebook live at Singapore Landing Pad

Minister Ciobo used a visit to the Australian Landing Pad in Singapore to further highlight Australia’s innovation credentials in that market and posted a Facebook Live.

The Minister, along with Singapore’s Senior Minister of State (Trade and Industry) Sim Ann, met the second cohort of Landing Pad participants to witness the signing of commercial agreements arising at the Landing Pad:

  • Nanyang Technological University, an internationally regarded Singaporean institute, and Melbourne based Medtech Company Anatomics entered into a research and development collaboration for translational projects to develop novel materials and clinical applications in the area of 3D printed personalised medical devices.
  • Anatomics have entered into a Joint Venture agreement with Ultra Clean Technologies (UCT) Singapore, a global leader in design, engineering, manufacturing to create a new business that will commercialise 3D-printed personalised medical devices to the Asian market. The new entity brings together the medical innovation expertise of Anatomics and the global contract manufacturing experience of UCT to create a leading company in Asia for medical 3D printing.
  • CEC Systems are partnering with The Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), a research institute of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) to develop and explore operational, engineering and manufacturing efficiencies around their Collapsible-Economic- shipping container, COLLAPSECON®. Over the coming months, SIMTech will undertake a combination of research, testing, simulation and analysis to help advance the COLLAPSECON even further.
