Sheila Lunter

Sheila Lunter is the Trade Commissioner for the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

She was on a temporary assignment as Acting Consul-General and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner in Milan, Italy from early 2019 to July 2020. She was previously posted to São Paulo, Brazil as Consul and Trade Commissioner from 2012 to 2016 and has worked in Austrade’s Canberra, Melbourne and Singapore offices in different roles.

Before joining Austrade, Sheila worked in Government Relations for CSIRO. Prior to migrating to Australia in 1999, she worked in a variety of roles in international science programmes in Europe, including the Netherlands and Sweden.

Sheila holds a Master of Science degree from the Australian National University and a Master of Arts degree from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. She speaks Portuguese, Italian, French, Spanish, German and Dutch.
