Rhett Miller is the Trade and Investment Commissioner and Deputy Consul-General (Commercial) at the Australian Consulate-General in Chengdu.
In this capacity, Rhett is responsible for leading the Australian Trade and Investment Commission’s Post in Chengdu which is responsible for the promotion of Australian exports, investment attraction and international education in South-West China, the country’s fastest growing region.
Rhett also has responsibility for leading the Commission’s Health Team in Greater China.
Rhett has extensive experience in international market development having previously served as Trade Commissioner (Education) (North Asia) at the Australian Consulate-General in Shanghai and as Head of Asian Markets at the University of Sydney where he managed large teams responsible for development of international education markets. He has also held business development roles at both the University of Melbourne and Victoria University.
Prior to his career in the government and university sectors, Rhett was a solicitor and was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Rhett holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Modern Languages (Chinese) from the University of Melbourne.
