Lauren Gilbert

Lauren Gilbert is Austrade’s Trade and Investment Commissioner, Shanghai. She currently leads the Technology, e-Commerce and Consumer Products team across Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong markets.

Lauren also oversees Austrade’s Shanghai Landing Pad, a program dedicated to Australian innovation scale-ups.

Lauren has extensive commercial experience having spent most of her career working in sales and business development roles for reputable technology companies, including IBM, LinkedIn and Salesforce.com, as well as innovative e-commerce and SaaS start-ups.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of International Studies from University of Sydney. She is proficient in Mandarin Chinese after spending many years living, working, and studying in China. Lauren is also conversational in Danish.
